Seat Availability in UPCPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined premedical test)
In terms of seats, UPCPMT is very good as compared to other medical entrance exams where seats are scarce. Roughly around 800 to 850 seats are there. These numbers of seats are for the government colleges who are present in UPCPMT. Private colleges who are not affiliated to this exam are also accepting the score cards. These 800+ seats are for all classes like general, Schedule caste, schedule tribe etc. So if you are planning to take admission in to good colleges for various programs like MMBS, BDS etc, then you have to get a rank under 800. There are various types of reservations in UP entrance exams, so it might happen that you have got a rank of 1000 and you can get a seat of MBBS. Out of these seats there are 35 seats which are paid or you can say are the management seats. BDS has very less seats. So these candidates who are aspiring for a career in BDS have to really work hard to get admission in to a good college.
